Shelly Ryan Late Night!

If you're looking for a good time this week, look no farther than your computer. After a short hiatus, Shelly Ryan Late Night is back with an hour of comedy, music and more...and a VERY special guest will join me this week.

I invite you to check out Boneless Chuck in my Top Friends. Okay, so I've never interviewed a pink beanbag dude before. What can I say besides the fact he is AWESOME!!! He has touched many lives, and his story will warm your heart.

Jim Panzee & Friends Cartoon

I'm delighted to share another production from Happy Fatties and comedy friend Michael Scott. He's appeared on Shelly Ryan Late Night and Red Brick Cabaret, and we're bringing him back again with the Jim Panzee and Friends Radio Funtime Hour. Don't touch that dial! Why not? Because we said so!

With the release of Happy Fatties' second album approaching, a new cartoon based off material from the CD has been released. Just click on the image above to go to the site and when there, click on the cartoon's link on the upper left corner. Hope you enjoy it as much as you have the others. And if you don’t, look deep inside your soul to find why you are such a miserable person.

Travel Blog

While I am tempted to try the proven method to get more friend requests on MySpace: stick a digital camera down the front of my shirt, post a picture of my cleavage with the caption "Postcard from the Grand Canyon", I decided to upload another travel photo. It is from Spring Break 2006. The first time I posted it I was amused by comments alerting me to the fact there was a large boat behind me. So here's a little quiz for my friends. Why did I post this photo?

1) I'm running away from home and will perform comedy on board some random cruise ship;
2) This is the only photo of a decent nature I have that proves I DO have certain womanly features;
3) It's a tribute to the port in Jamaica that likely will not EXIST after it's ravaged by Hurricane Dean.

Okay, it's not just a TRIBUTE but an apology to some of the previous travelblogs I've written indicating I did not have such a fun time on this island. The photo caption, if there was one, would read, "Just snap the @&*ing picture so I can get back on the ship and drink enough Rum Runners so I can forget this day."

It started out with our decision to take my son and his 3 friends on one of those overpriced excursions which was GROSSLY misrepresented. A "leisurely" rafting tour down a tropical river sounded like it would be worth the price. We got our money's worth right away on the bus tour up a REALLY big mountain (that should have warned me the trip would not be leisurely). Our cheerful tour guide told the boys that they harvest packs of condoms from the rubber trees.

At the top of the mountain we were greeted by more cheerful people who wanted to sell us some whimsical carvings of a man with a barrel around his waist. When you pulled the barrel down, something popped up! My son walked away when I asked if little packs of condoms were sold separately.

We then squeezed our average sized butts into miniature inner tubes. Presumably these were "the rafts". The trip WAS leisurely...until we hit THE RAPIDS. This is also where more cheerful people, obviously engaged in a second job since it wasn't rubber harvesting time...taking pictures of drenched, frightened tourists to later sell at inflated prices.

Thank goodness we had time to do some shopping after this excursion. Except we were not in the market for what the street vendors wanted to sell. No, I DON'T want my hair braided and the teenage kids in my care are not allowed to smoke pot. Finally we found a quaint little shop...that sold MORE "wee-wee" statues.

So as I reflect on the crazy memory of that day and realize the dock on which I'm standing in the photo may not be there in a few hours, I am praying for the safety of the residents of this island and other places that will be impacted by Hurricane Dean.

Pantomime Radio

Every week I look forward to comedy, music and MORE and so do many of you.

Unfortunately this week I'm recovering from a wicked virus that has also left me voiceless! Haha, that's what I get for talking so much. So unless my interviews were on the MIME YouTube Channel where I could make silly sweeping gestures, I don't think it would work so well...but that does give me an idea for upcoming episodes.

My producer will either rebroadcast a previous show or maybe play some of those "wanna get it on" songs that are so popular in the evening hours. Either way, enjoy your Late Night!Shelly

Shelly Ryan Late Night!

To make up for the fact I missed my 30 year high school reunion on account of the fact 1) I found out about it 2 weeks before the event and 2) it wasn't worth the airfare and hotel room expenses to go hang out with the same group of people I wasn't cool enough to hang out with back in the day, I've dedicated this week's SHELLY RYAN LATE NIGHT to a great reunion!

This week's comedy guest is long-time friend Ralph Vincent. In May 2006 I appeared on his debut Underground Comedy radio show, and that was the first official time a comedy clip of mine was broadcast. So now it's time to return the favor!

And no coincidence that during his show Ralph played some rockin' music by Federico Fasce...who is this show's Late Night musician. We've heard his music, and this week we'll hear Fede's VOICE!

Shelly Ryan Late Night!

Here's a special message from Late Night musician, Federico Fasce:

My friend Shelly Ryan is the energetic hostess of her own variety style radio show. She selected me to be Late Night musician, and every week audiences hear "Summer Morning" (one of the tracks on my newest CD Tales of the Desert Seas).

Shelly decided it was time for listeners to know a little more about the musician from Genoa, Italy she introduces and says "grazie" to every week. I am thrilled to announce that I will be interviewed on the next episode of Shelly Ryan Late Night!!!

Comedian and great friend, Ralph Vincent, will also appear. This is a special "reunion" because in May 2006 Shelly made her comedy debut on Ralph's Underground Comedy radio show...AND he played a rockin' song from an Italian musician!

I invite you to log on to www.bzoo.org to listen to the show live streaming and experience a lot of laughs and music (and my interview)! And please invite YOUR friends!!!
